Who am I

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

I don’t make money from ads. So I don’t collect data in order to advertise to you. There are no tracking pixels added to this website this includes the absence of Google Analytics.

I might collect your email address and/or your name if you decide to become a member of my website or an email subscriber. Further information about these two are provided below:

Email newsletter

I use MailChimp for my email newsletter campaign and all of my forms are sending the information to the listed below company:

  • Provider: The rocket science group, llc.
  • Purpose: Managing contacts and sending messages

Profile Image

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

The contact forms that are included on my site are created with the help of Google Forms, not all of them, only some. The data collected with this form is stored by Google (Their Policy). I only use the data collected, so I can respond to your inquiry. You won’t receive any marketing emails or other types of emails when you contact me using the form here.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Personal Data from analytics is NOT collected from analytics software. I don’t have analytics software added to my site.

Durmonski.com, or the owner: Ivaylo Durmonski, won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. In short, I won’t sell the information I gather. It’s simply use to make your experience on this website better.

Your data is not shared with anyone besides the owner of this website. In that case, me: Ivaylo Durmonski.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

I use third-party vendor for hosting. The name of the company is SiteGround and I used it for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology I need to run Durmonski.com. You can see their full consent on their Privacy Page.

Members

All membership accounts and data regarding my membership program is handled by Memberful. Memberful stores personal member data in a secure database (encrypted at rest) to provide membership services to members. I, and they, do not use your member data for any other purposes. You can see their Data Protection page.

All members have the right to be forgotten. If an individual member requests to be erased, all data will be deleted by the admin of this website, Ivaylo Durmonski, from Memberful without undue delay.

The plugins/services I used on my site do not interact with end users on my website besides the ones mentioned here: MailChimp, Memberful.
